Welcome to Matcha. By using our service — including the Telegram bot at @matcha_naija_chat_bot and this website — you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Matcha. By using the service you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to remove any user we believe to be underage.

2. Acceptable Use

Matcha is a platform for genuine human connection. You agree not to use it to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Share explicit, violent, or illegal content without consent.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity in a harmful way.
• Solicit money, personal information, or sexual services from other users.
• Spam, advertise, or use the service for commercial purposes without permission.
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to interact with the service.
• Attempt to identify or dox an anonymous user.

3. Anonymity and Privacy

Matcha is designed to be anonymous. Your Telegram username and phone number are never shared with your chat partner. However, anonymity is not a licence to behave harmfully. We may identify and remove users who abuse the platform, and we cooperate with law enforcement where required by Nigerian law.

4. Reporting and Moderation

Users can report abusive partners at any time using the report button in the bot. Reports are reviewed by our team. Repeated violations result in permanent bans. We reserve the right to ban any user at our sole discretion without prior notice.

5. Premium Subscriptions

Premium features are available via paid subscription:

• Payments are processed by Flutterwave (Naira) or Telegram Stars.
• Subscriptions are non-refundable unless required by applicable Nigerian consumer protection law.
• Subscriptions do not auto-renew. You must manually renew before expiry.
• Premium access ends immediately upon expiry or if your account is banned for violations.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Matcha website — including design, text, and code — belongs to Matcha. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute it without written permission. User-generated content (messages you send in chats) is ephemeral and not stored or claimed by Matcha.

7. Limitation of Liability

Matcha is provided "as is." We make no warranties about uptime, match quality, or outcomes from using the service. We are not liable for any harm arising from interactions with other users, including financial loss or emotional distress. Use the service at your own discretion.

8. Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of significant changes.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in Nigerian courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects any changes. Continued use of Matcha after changes constitutes acceptance.
